A new version has been uploaded to the beta repository. This has the extra option to disable the gradually decrease in brightness to safe the screen. You can test this version by adding the beta repository (http://server.vijge.net/static/squeezebox/repo-beta.xml). You first need to uninstall the current version, then install the beta version.
