Public bug reported:

I cannot unlock the users settings, I simply don't get an opportunity to
type in my password.

1) I am using Ubuntu 8.10 with the latest updates.
2) ...
3) When I press Unlock I expect a password input box to appear.
4) In more detail:

1. I start "users-admin" from the console. There is a warning that
appears around 12 times:

(users-admin:16219): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkSpinButton: setting an
adjustment with non-zero page size is deprecated

Besides of that everything seems to be fine.

2. After pressing Unlock nothing happens, but all button inside of the
window are blocked, only the title bar still works.

3. After around 30 seconds a message box appears saying:

Could not authenticate
An unexpected error has occurred.

There is a new message printed to the konsole:

** (users-admin:16315): CRITICAL **: Did not receive a reply. Possible
causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message
bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the
network connection was broken.

Besides of this masterpiece of an error message, it would be nice to see
users-admin actually work.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
