Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pidgin

When receiving XMPP messages, HTML links are displayed as as unclickable
text followed by clickable URLs in parenthesis.

For instance, ''<a href="http://foo.com";>foo</a>'' is displayed as ''foo
(http://foo.com)''. Before the upgrade to jaunty, this was displayed as
''foo'' (a clickable link to http://foo.com).

Updates from http://identi.ca received through XMPP in Pidgin are barely
usable (see attached screenshot).

This is with pidgin 1:2.5.5-1ubuntu5 on Jaunty

** Affects: pidgin (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
