Hello,

I have the same problem on Karmic 64 alpha 5 : nautilus as normal user
works very fine, but I am not able to run it as root via terminal

Here is the error I get when I type sudo nautilus :

Initializing nautilus-clamscan extension

** (nautilus:5218): WARNING **: No marshaller for signature of signal
'UploadFinished'

I installed valgring, and when I run :

sudo G_SLICE=always-malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly  valgrind -v
--tool=memcheck --leak-check=full --num-callers=40 --log-
file=valgrind.log nautilus

Here nautilus starts as root, with high CPU usage, am able to change the
permissions on a partition, I get this in terminal :

(nautilus:5179): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: Could not initialize inotify
