Though i'm not facing this bug anymore. There are two or more issues here! 1. Pulseaudio is not able to upgrade properly. -During the alpha cycle i noticed several issues were solved when i delete the ~/.pulse folder and the ~/.pulse-cookie file -Options were not updated until i deleted those files , like i did not have the option to increase the volume to 150% until i deleted those.
2. As Daniel T Chen mentioned on irc, VLC sets the default audio output module to something other than Pulseaudio [iirc ALSA ...] . So the users need to change the audio module setting to Pulseaudio. [if need be , try deleting the ~/.config/vlc folder and now in a new session , set the vlc audio module to pulseaudio] . If problem still exists there are other issues in play. If no one faces this problem , this bug can be closed as fix released. -- Pulse audio queues audio and gets locked to the app PID https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/411962 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
