Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools
This is a wishlist priority item, please change that as I don't have that kind of access. I think it would be much easier to understand and control current account privileges if there were a tabular format. Across the top slanted ( like / ) diagonally would be the descriptions of the tasks/groups. No-privilege user groups (suitable for even the guest account) should have one background color, while normal user groups should have another, and sys-admin groups a final color. Each permission could also have an icon to use instead of the check- mark. An outline (or something) of the icon if 'unchecked' while a full icon if 'checked'. This would allow for many users to be displayed on screen at once, more than enough for a typical home system, and potentially enough for some quick verification/comparison in a corporate environment. Much of this data is already available, but in far less user friendly sub-menus that do not allow for such rapid comprehension and modification. ** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Wishlist] users-admin ease of use improvements (table based editing) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/456948 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
