Sebastian, I've uploaded a Youtube video demonstrating the bug. I'm certain that I'm only using your patch, as I performed a clean installation before doing my testing. I'm using an m4400, which seems to have the same Dualpoint. You're right that the patch is a vast improvement, but the buttons will still probably be a showstopper for me. I'd be happy to provide any command input (lsusb, etc.) you want to see, or gather any other information you need. Just let me know.

Interestingly enough, regardless of whether or not I'm currently experiencing the bug, I can reliably cause the driver to lose sync by pressing all three of the touchpad buttons at once. Pressing all three of the stick's buttons do not cause the driver to lose sync. I don't know if this bug is related--it's certainly probably an uncommon problem.
