** Summary changed:

- From: sols...@netscape.net To: n...@bugs.launchpad.net Subject: cdromupgrade
script missing from kubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso Problem/Bug Tried to
upgrade from Kubuntu 9.04 to 9.1 and failed. 1. Downloaded
“kubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso” 2. created CDRom from iso file 3. inserted
cdrom 4. From Ubuntu documentation upgrade web page (KarmicUpgradesKubuntu): 5.
Entered upgrade command (kdesudo "/media/cdrom/cdromupgrade")as instructed and
several variations. 6. System response is always “Command not found”!!!
Apparently the cdrom upgrade script was not included in the iso file
“kubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso” so no one can upgrade to kubuntu-9.10 from a
cdrom disk. I need to be able to download at my local high speed library and
upgrade from cdrom. Can some kind soul please include the cdrom upgrade script
in a new file version of “kubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso”?? Doing so would
would also make the Ubuntu documentation upgrade web page
(KarmicUpgradesKubuntu) correct. Thanks so much. Affects: Distribution of
kubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso Affects: Ubuntu documentation upgrade web page
(KarmicUpgradesKubuntu)
