The attached packages, built against Karmic with 2.6.31.16-generic kernel, fix the originally-reported issue for me on the machine with the internal battery. No need for custom kernel with modified DSDT compiled-in any more. Packages were built with prevu-nomangle. Thanks very much for taking care of this bug! Chris
