Here it is again: Couldn't parse output from `svn status -v' Reverified - problem still exists as of Sat Jan 9 09:47:00 PST 2010
** Changed in: emacs23 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: emacs23 r...@irish> lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) Release: 10.04 To reproduce, load subversion, load emacs, check something out from subversion, visit one of those files in emacs. In the same directory, visit a new, nonexistent file. I'm getting error - messages saying that the emacs subversion support cannot parse the - output from "svn status -v". (I'd expect it to behave as it has in the - past, where files that aren't in subversion are simply visited, edited, - and saved as usual.) + messages saying "Couldn't parse output from `svn status -v'". (I'd + expect it to behave as it has in the past, where files that aren't in + subversion are simply visited, edited, and saved as usual.) Second symptom, visit a file which is in subversion, and try C-x v = which is bound to vc-diff by default. I get an ugly error message, presumably because the output format from subversion has recently changed. What I expect to see is a popup buffer of the differences between my checked out version and it's underlying version. (This has been true in past releases). It looks to me as though subversion has changed it's output format recently and the emacs support has not yet been updated to match.
