Ok thanks. I've tried those. Here are the results: noapic: no difference (still hangs) acpi=off: it works! noalpic: was worse (mouse pointer doesn't even move)
Thanks for that suggestion. So I can no access the computer + OS fully using "acpi=off". Do you want me to generate more attachments? e.g. via the command "ubuntu-bug -p linux". However that would create an entirely new bug report. So how do I get those attachments to go onto this bug report?
