@Redmar: actually the majority of apps these days are storing data in ~/.local/share or ~/.config , so you should *always* make sure to back up those directories when moving to a new system.
I'm sorry that you lost your notes. We did drop a file in ~/.tomboy indicating that the notes had been moved, but didn't draw a lot of attention to it, because we figured most users would either back up all of $HOME or know enough to include the XDG data dirs. In this case, we let you down, and I'm sorry about that. We won't be doing that sort of move again. It was an important component of us hitting Tomboy 1.0, and now you can count on your notes always being stored in ~/.local/share/tomboy/ (unless you choose to set various environment variables to relocate it). Fortunately, this is the only report I've seen of data loss in this circumstance, though there have been plenty of bugs or forum posts asking where to look in a complete $HOME backup for the notes. -- Why are notes not located in .tomboy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/662085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
