Public bug reported: We got problems on an installation with the CD Ubuntu 10.10 (delivered with the magazine Planète). We tested this installation on 2 different PC and by changing CD/DVD player. We got diverse messages and the installation never ended.
Examples of messages : - File which does not correspond to its original copy /target/usr/bin/smbcquotas Defective disk or old HD - [On black screen] gave up waiting for root device - Boot args (cat / proc / cmdline) .../... ALERT! / dev / disk / by-uuid etc. does not exist - The installer met an error .../... Bind files /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman One day spent to have tries. Idem with an ISO file, got back and mounted.
