@David: 1- since when updating to the ppa, I have a problem: wmv files stop playing few seconds after start, and no sound at all is heard.
I suppose to double-check it was the ppa I should remove it. Is ppa-purge fighting-rewinds sufficient to do it? 2- To test your cases A,B,C,D: how do I do it?
