I was having disconnects after kernel 2.6.26 with a usb harddrive on an intel mac mini. No USB quirks, or max sector changes helped. in the end I traced the issue to kernel commit b963801164618e25fbdc0cd452ce49c3628b46c8
I reverted the commit (had to be done manually), and everything is rock solid for me on kernel 2.6.32 - 2.6.38 Attached is the patch I am using currently. applies to 2.6.37/2.6.38 (and maybe earlier) ** Patch added: "0001-reverted-b963801164618e25fbdc0cd452ce49c3628b46c8.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/61235/+attachment/1963699/+files/0001-reverted-b963801164618e25fbdc0cd452ce49c3628b46c8.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/61235 Title: USB mass storage stops working after a while -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
