In tty those mentioned lines scroll down, the last word is password in large letters, but if I start typing it displays clear letters. Some time later user login appears or I can hit [Enter] more times until it displays user login. After login I can startx which logs me into failsafe GUI without complains as before. Either from there or from tty I can do a reboot. Last time it was rebooted I didn't connect to wireless or eth0 (I need to restart nm-applet for this anyway), instead I opened a terminal to grab some errors from log files, but after a few letters typing got logged out to tty again. Very weird all. I'd be happy to issue any cmds in tty in order to provide you with more meaningful outputs.
