Public bug reported: GNOME 2 had an option to allow changing keyboard shortcuts by simply highlighting the corresponding menu item in the main menu and pressing the desired key combination.
With Unity's global application menu this doesn't work. That impacts very many applications that don't have a specific dialog to edit shortcuts — in fact, almost all of them: Pidign, Shotwell, Transmission, you name it. I believe this should be addressed promptly.
