Sorry for the cross posting (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+question/175655), but this seems more relevant here:
Running into the same issue over here....md5 sum check out (have redownloaded ~3 times to be sure that it wasn't a fluke), burned a handful of disk on various burners/speeds with out any (reported) errors. But when I put it in my 8,1 mbp it refuses to boot, just hanging on the Loading bootlogo.... line. Out of curiosity I put my boot disk into a work computer (Dell optiplex 745) and it booted past the initial grub menu and booted the kernel. After waiting a while I presses the esc to see what was going on...there were many squashfs errors, and then there were about 4 services that failed to start. It never completely booted, but hung, presumably when it was trying to start the window manager. I am more than happy to do any more testing/verifying as needed, just let me know what is needed. Also could someone link to the "EFI Ubuntu loader" mentioned by the OP? A google search turned up many docs on EFI booting but I could not find the utility mentioned. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885809 Title: Live stuck on "Loading bootlogo" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/885809/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
