The fix is only designed to sample the mouse at 200Hz, so I think according to 
the Nyquist–Shannon sampling theorem[1] it will only look smooth on monitors up 
to 100Hz. I could raise the rate to 250Hz to try and cover the case of 120Hz 
monitors, but I think other timing issues in compiz might still make it look 
imperfect on displays above 100Hz. Maybe I should make it a config option, 
perhaps as a separate enhancement later...

The "slight delay" issue is a different bug to do with the hardware
cursor (Xorg option "HWcursor") and compiz lagging a frame or two
behind. Not sure if we have a bug ID for that problem yet.
