Public bug reported:

When a menu is open, either an app menu or an indicator menu, unhiding
the laucher by pushing the mouse cursor to the left side, is not
reacting. A user has to close the menu by using <Esc> or click on the
menu area (again). Also, using the <Super> does not do anything when a
menu is open.

In my opinion, unhiding the laucher or using the super-key should have
the highest priority, thus closing any open menu.
