Public bug reported: On my mid-2009 MacBook Pro, running Precise since alpha with continual updates, middle-clicks have recently stopped working.
Normally on these laptops, pushing down the trackpad with one finger is a left-click; pushing it down with two fingers is a right-click; and pushing it down with three fingers is a middle-click. Of these, the middle-click gesture stopped working. The other two still work. I don't know what it's trying to do instead of middle-click, but it's trying to do something. When I press down with 3 fingers on the desktop, the mouse pointer vanishes as with a normal click, but dragging with the 3 fingers pushed down does not seem to do anything. I have “enable mouse clicks with touchpad” disabled — that's tapping, whereas this touchpad can physically click down. I tried disabling two- finger scroll but it made no difference. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/933355 Title: Middle-click on MacBook Pro touchpad no longer works To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/933355/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
