Public bug reported: More stuff to report, as usual, Ubuntu 12.04 beta 2 build 14/4/2012, booting from USB.
Of course, I wanted to try the new TV (LCD, LG 32" using HDMI cable) as external monitor. It was detected right away but then I noted that even when it has the correct resolution (1920x1080) the top bar and the Dash board were wrong. "No big deal", because I have also an ATI Radeon 6870 without the propietary drivers, was my first guess but then I did the same, booting from -this time- a Samsung laptop with a Core i5 and an integrated video card from Intel. And yes, exactly the same problem. If you look at the pics attached, you can see the hidden top bar (I clicked so the menu could be noted) and the Dash board partially hidden too. If you reduce the resolution below the recomended (ie, 1280x900) then everything if fine, as you all can see. Along with this problem, the Shutdown dialog is fine if you invoke it from the extended monitor but it "run away" to the secondary too if clicked from the main monitor. Best Regards. Turbo. PD: Not so sure if this is X.org or Kernel's fault. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/984586 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 external TV monitor problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/984586/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
