I'm on Precise (with -proposed enabled), ATI FireGL 5200 with open source radeon drivers, single monitor setup. This bug appears for me.
My launcher is set to autohide and I can interact with it via mouse, making it show/hide. The launcher also updates to show notifications/progress bars of items, so it isn't just a cached image showing up.
