I think if you could provide one it would be a good way to get some further testing though I'm confident it does fix the affected encodings without breaking any existing support. There is a way for users to 'pre-test' files that currently show no video, all affected files will display video when the plugin is disabled. (moving libgstvideoparser.so to a .bak Files that continue to not display video after the mv are not this bug.
I've a list of potentially affected apps in comment #56, may vary slightly from 12.04 to 12.10.
