You have been subscribed to a public bug: There are a lot of untranslated software descriptions in WebCatalog, Software Center and Synaptic (60000+ strings in most languages, https://translations.launchpad.net/ddtp-ubuntu/ ). Relying solely on translators doesn't scale. Would it be possible to add a mechanism to enable translation suggestion crowdsourcing ?
The basic idea would be a button to "Translate this software description" below each untranslated description that would enable users to easily provide a translation suggestion to the DDTP, either inline, or using Launchpad. ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: synaptic Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-translations Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-webcatalog Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Add a button "Translate this description" to crowdsource Package translations https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1061489 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
