Public bug reported: At random, if I'm using ANY 3D program or game (except, strangely, window managers, including compiz, gala, mutter, etc)... the GPU will lockup, the screen redraws with a bunch of lines at the bottom, and then it begins to turn white. I wish I could give more information but each time it happens the system locks up completely and I have to force it to restart (which is NOT good). This problem was happening on Ubuntu 12.10 and persists into 13.04.
