Why is this issue reported against lxkeymap ? That does not seem correct. On PCs with less that about 768MB RAM, please use the Alternate CD image to install from. It uses less RAM than the LiveCD during installation.
On PCs with less than 512MB RAM, you can try using the Netboot ISO (mini.iso) image, which is even smaller, and then selecting Lubuntu at the software selection screen.
