Sort of the same problem, X starts but not loading fglrx. Looking at the xrg logs, I can see that it enables aiglx, wich seems to me being a nonsense with ATI's drivers. Ever since I updated to Gutsy, I've been unable to use ATI's drivers, wether it was with the restricted-manager, the repositories or ATI's installer. It fails to open a DRI device (according to the logs) ** Attachment added: "xorg log of trying to use fglrx" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8673068/xorglogs.txt -- Restricted drivers manager does not load fglrx module https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
