yeah I'm going to renig on that previous comment. The crashing continues after the previously mentioned 'fix'. It just happened to be a good day and a half before I saw a crash, but now they are evidently just as random and frequent (ok maybe slightly less frequent, has only crashed maybe 70-90 times total) as they were before. The crashes even followed me to the 64bit ubuntu install, with vesa instead of the proprietary fglrx drivers, and not using firefox at all. The crashing is ALWAYS the same and for some reason and it has not appeared even once in windows xp. I really like the speed and ease of use of Ubuntu in its current state, and so I am very eager to return (I'm not particularly thrilled about going back to windows) but its the only way I can work at the moment. Please let me know what information to file, or if this bug report is even appreciated.
