You are technically wrong. 1) As I said in comment #17, at one point, using the same hardware and the same BIOS, it used to work. So, it is *not* necessary to update the BIOS to fix this issue. 2) Updating a BIOS is a potentially risky operation as it can brick my *work* laptop. This is the reason why I'm not going to update the BIOS for such a trivial problem.
