Public bug reported:

restricted driver manager 0.29
nvidia-glx-new 100.14.11+2.6.22.3-10-1
nvidia-glx NOT installed :O)

in the restricted driver manager it claims I'm using
NVIDIA acellerated graphics drive - (enabled ticked and green "led" in use
status)
NVIDIA acellerated graphics drive (latest cards) - (enabled ticked and green
"led" in use status)

I tried disabling the 1st selection (ie the one without latest cards) but that
resulted in
xwindows failing claiming a version mismatch between kernel and nvidia driver
( I DID reboot so i'm a bit puzzled by this one)

in the end from the terminal with gdm disabled I ensured that all nvidia-glx
packages were uninstalled
then reinstalled nvidia-glx-new and rebooted

Xwindows in using the "new" driver but the manager still both is in use
at the same time!

I'll attach a verbose lspci output in case that helps

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
