Same here. Using HD3000 and GT555M. When firstly installed nvidia-prime, the nvidia-settings show correct setting of using Nvidia card. But when I switched to integrated HD3000 and relogined, the discrete card is still working (laptop became really hot) and I cannot switch back to integrated card. After reboot the discrete card even disappeared from lspci and still working.
