@brad-figg: I ran the command you asked me to. I was able to successfully launch vncserver and run apport-collect in that. I presume the command failed since it showed a backtrace in python and a long html output. dpkg also warned me that package 'linux' was not found. I'm attaching the full logs containing the output of apport-collect 1603564
