On Ubuntu 17.04 dev I'm seeing on lxsession the dependency "consolekit | libpam-systemd". Does this effectively solve this issue? Also ConsoleKit got forked into ConsoleKit2 so maybe this could be also an alternative in the future but it seems currently ConsoleKit2 is not in the Ubuntu repository (or I'm just not finding it).
