My desktop computer won't display the X desktop on my monitor after
installing the new driver with the Bionic-proposed packages. I get a
blank screen except for a tty cursor in the top left corner of the
screen. I can view the X desktop remotely using Teamviewer though,
which is really wierd. Typing nvidia-smi verifies that driver 390.25 is
installed and running. I have 2 nvidia 1080Ti cards. Since the new
driver is unusable on my desktop, I have reverted back to nvidia-384.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get the new driver to
display the X desktop on my monitor?
