Public bug reported:

grub-probe and grub-installer is in grub2 or grub2-efi ??

grub.cfg.new is written but is incomplete even after hour long wait..
I can cntl-page into another terminal-newTab.
'sudo Top' reports Grub-Probe is pegged at 100%.
Easy to kill w (k)kill the default top cpu using pid
REPEAT until grub-install or grub-update done...

(should I nano /etc/grub.d/20* w suspected calls??)
(I once cd /usr/sbin/;sudo bash; mv Gprobe Gprobe~; ln -fv true grub-probe !!)

Grub.cfg will then say 'set/ root=(hd0)' instead of (hd0,6) ARGHH

This happens even when hd0,1 is efi/vfat or ext2
And when /boot/grub=hd0,2 as ext2 so i can btrfs-tools -> convert to btrfs
later!

seems /@ and /@home is is xfrmd into / and /home by kernel but not by
grub.

btw: can grub-imageboot be explained better. I string `which memdisk` to
find RAW, Safe ETC.

** Affects: grub-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
