Public bug reported:

I launched Update-manager through a terminal window, and, when loading
the file sources, I got this error message (with some traceback lines)
several times:

TypeError: could not convert type dbus.Double to gint required for parameter 4
ERROR:dbus.connection:Exception in handler for D-Bus signal:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/dbus/connection.py", line 232, in
maybe_handle_message
    self._handler(*args, **kwargs)
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/aptdaemon/client.py", line 623, in
_on_property_changed
    self.emit("progress-details-changed", *value)

If it helps and/or might be related, I was having low connectivity and
had to try again the process of receiving info from the repositories a
couple of times.

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
