Both Lubuntu installer and KDE Partition Manager failed to create partition. I tried gparted - it worked fine. So I used gparted first to create a partition and selected that partition in Lubuntu installer. Unfortunately, the installer deleted and tried to re-create the partition, failing again. So once more, I used gparted to create a partition and in the Lubuntu installer I used "Manual partitioning", avoiding partition changes.
