I added +1 to this, since this notification is really irritating and not
really useful.

For example, I have to use Skype and Teams for work, and every time
someone writes a message, I get "<application> is ready" on the screen
top and it just hangs there, without any useful information, even
without the received message.

Also, as someone mentioned earlier, when a browser finishes downloading
something and when you click on the "Show in folder" - if the Nautilus
is already open, it will throw the useless "is ready" notification.

In software development, or in some other cases, where you run the build
job that runs longer than a few seconds - in this context, this
notification would, in my opinion, make some sense.

Notifications can be disabled per app, but it demands 2 clicks for every app in
the list, and there is too many of them.
At least, adding the option to turn off all per-app notifications would be
helpful - that way we could allow notifications which are needed.

Cheers!
