Sorry. I had connected the device to a second (newer hardware) notebook
computer with same Lubuntu to check, whether it is a problem of just
this particular machine or a common problem.

xrandr2 attached.

The Lubuntu monitor settings tool names the HDMI screen „BMD HDMI”, (BMD
seems to mean Blackmagic Design) and thus seems to recognize the device.
