Public bug reported:

I was investigating removing Software Properties calls to pro 'security-
status --format=json' because it is deprecated and has at least a known
fail point.

But the API doesn't seem to provide an end-point to query the
availability of a service, which is required at [1]. Assuming I didn't
miss anything, I'd like to request the addition of such an end-point.

Please note that the program is currently using /var/lib/ubuntu-
advantage/status.json as its first source of information and only has
--format=json as a fallback, so this is no pressing matter, but it is a
pre-requisite for moving away from those two approaches.
