Public bug reported: The microphone in a Thinkpad P14S (AMD) Gen 4 stopped working after updating from 23.10 to 24.04 Beta with kernel 6.8.0-22-generic. This is a known problem and a patch may be included in kernel 6.8.3.
Is it possible to backport this patch? Or is the plan to wait for a kernel update? It would be good use the microphone in 24.04. The symptoms are exactly as described in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2162297#p2162297 Reportedly the patch is included in https://github.com/zen-kernel/zen-kernel/blob/6.7/main/sound/soc/amd/yc/acp6x-mach.c#L59 ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "lspci-vnvn.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2062412/+attachment/5767653/+files/lspci-vnvn.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2062412 Title: No input through internal microphone (Ryzen 6000) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2062412/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
