This has been addressed in the LXD snaps 5.21/stable (https://github.com/canonical/lxd-pkg-snap/commit/764ee08b) and 5.0/edge (https://github.com/canonical/lxd-pkg-snap/commit/bfe4270e).
All LXD software before version 4 are not affected. Jammy, Mantic, and Noble do not have debs. Focal's deb is a snap installer.
