Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-aiptek

Not sure if this is related to bug#198599 or not, but here goes:

I have a Medion USB tablet (Aiptek rebranded). It shows up on
/dev/input/event5 but there is no /dev/input/wacom or
dev/input/aiptektablet or anything like that. I can move the cursor with
it, but it seems incapable of detecting any contact/pressure/button
events. I can't use it to click or in gimp it doesn't paint or anything.
Just cursor movement.

wacdump /dev/input/event5 looks fine showing x/y movement and pressure.

Currently installed are:
xserver-xorg-input-aiptek 1.0.1-6
xserver-xorg-input-wacom 0.7.9.2-2ubuntu2
wacom-tools 0.7.9.2-2ubuntu2

I'm on Kubuntu Hardy Beta 1 although this has been showing up since I
first tried somewhere around Edgy.

lsusb entry and xorg.conf are attached (with any luck)

** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-aiptek (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
