Well

This might have some advantages, but at the same time it wouldn't follow
the Fitt's law, making using these buttons harder.

While having the buttons there when the dash is open is not so intuitive.

I think there has been some discussion about this topic in the past too,
but we ended up in the current solution because it resulted to be better.
