I can confirm the bug on Ubuntu 11.10 x64, lighttpd, php5-fpm (without php-apc). Found this older Debian bug via Google: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=633100 . Maybe it provides anybody with more information on how to hunt this bug down?
