Did you install it by hand? The upgrade process totally destroyed my graphics (for some laughs). I tried installing fglrx using aptitude, which gave working but crappy graphics. Prior to that it was conflicting. However, it had not installed the full driver, and using the additional drivers GUI fixed things.
