I have the same problem as shiva, (with a 50i,that has the same chip as the 100i). I do have sound in other programs, Rhythmbox for example. On sound preferences / hardware it appears, " SAA7131/SAA7133/SAA7135 Video Broadcast Decoder" - 1 entry - "Analog Stereo Input"
I'm not sure, but I think the 100i has a SAA7134 chip, so that's got to be the problem!
