No no no.. I was saying that the way I found to compile that worked easier for me was the link I sent since you stated it did not work for you using the one provided. You decide which you like better.
I also state that you can simply install the v2.6.32-020632-generic from the ubuntu kernel PPA and it will work as well. No compiling required for the kernel. The VBox kernel module will still need to be complied as stated in their manual.
