Please send me matching profiles along with expected hourly rate and contact information. *Please check with your candidate regarding skills before sending * *Position- ETL Informatica Developer Location- Bay Area, CA Duration- 3+ Months* *Job Description: *Work with assigned technical and functional contacts to document existing mainframe processes, review deliverables, and create an implementation plan. Develop technical specifications for ETL processes and data structures, using best-practice solutions approaches and design components. Following developed technical specifications, design, build and unit test Informatica ETL processes, including mappings, worklets and workflows. Work with technical staff and functional contacts to complete quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing. Respond quickly to reported issues, conducting analysis and implementing changes to address reported data quality and performance issues. Work with staff and Database Administrators to migrate database objects and data to QA and production environments. Create regular schedules for the execution of developed Informatica workflows. *Deliverables would include:* Documentation for all ETL processes (MS Word, Excel, Visio) DDL’s for all tables and views created as part of this project. Developed and tested Informatica ETL processes which load data into EDW staging, fact, and dimension tables (Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1). *Required Qualifications:* Experience in ETL design and development using Informatica PowerCenter, up to and including version 8. A sound and in-depth knowledge of data warehousing architecture, concepts and best practices. Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues though data analysis and the use of Informatica’s debugging features. Competence in performing business requirements analysis and developing work plans. Experience developing complex Oracle SQL statements for research, analysis, data validation, and performance testing. Familiarity with standard methodologies and best practices to generate high-quality, easily maintained, and efficient ETL processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships with all levels of management and staff. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and on a team. Proficiency using the Windows office suite. ** *Preferred Qualifications* Experience developing COBOL programs in a mainframe environment. Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Systems or the equivalent Experience with productivity tools such as Toad, Hyperion/Brio, etc. Experience in dimensional data modeling UNIX experience, including shell script development.
